MASSIVE TURNOUT OF LATE COMERS TO LECTURE.

   Almost 80% of 300l students of mass communication in Chukwu Emeka Odumegwu University,were late for today's lecture scheduled for 8:00am.
There was a massive turn out of late comers to class this morning which was as a result of misconception of the actual lecture time. Most of the students thought the time for the lecture was scheduled for 9:00am.But the assistant course representative,actually posted on the class group WhatsApp this morning by 7:00am informing everyone that the time for the lecture is scheduled for 8:00am and not 9:00am.
   The reason behind this ugly incidence is as a result of students' ignorance in checking up on important informations on the group WhatsApp. The students should form the habit of checking up on the class group chat every morning for the actual time for all lectures because sometimes there could actually be adjustments in the time for lectures and the only means of passing across the information is by posting it on the class group chat.In the case where the student did not subscribe on his or her  phone, the alternative thing to do is calling any of the course representatives for confirmation. By so doing,there Will be no reason for one indulging in late coming to class.
   The penalty for late coming most times can be drastic. Just like today,where the late comers were deprived of coming into the class and partaking in today's lecture and quizzes.
I hope everyone learnt their lessons and make adjustments to avoid the repetition of this ugly incidence again for lateness is definitely not a sign of discipline at all.
