A federal capital territory ( FCT ) high court has ordered that Maryam Sanda be remanded in Suleja prison for allegedly murdering Bilyamin Bello, her husband . The FCT police command arraigned her before Yusuf Halilu, a judge, on Friday. Maryam, who wept profusely in the court, covered her face with a veil to prevent journalists from taking pictures. The police had initially said it would be difficult to detain her because she has a six-month-old baby. Sanda reportedly stabbed the victim to death based on the suspicion that he was cheating on her. A Police Inspector attached to Olosun Division, Benson Ohiole was battered and suffered a fracture on his head after he attempted to arrest a suspect who vented his anger on him in Lagos, according to PM Express. The officer was also left with a broken head in the process and was rushed to the hospital as the result of the assault. The incident happened at Mushin area of Lagos where Ohiole went to arrest Omotolani and he resisted the arrest. It was gathered that the victim attempted to arrest the suspect for an undisclosed criminal offence but the suspect maintained his innocence and refused to follow the officer to the police station. Monday when a swarm of bees attacked a man suspected to have stolen household items from a resident of Kijura north cell in Masindi District. Fred Musiime, a resident of Masindi town who witnessed the incident told the  Daily Monitor  that the bees had covered the man’s head, neck, part of the back and others were in his pockets. The yet to be identified man who was bare footed and half naked was carrying a black subwoofer and a DVD which he is suspected to have stolen. “A big group of people followed him as he walked towards Masindi Police station. A dedicated nurse left her own wedding reception to attend to a patient while still dressed in her wedding gown. Yazmin Dominguez had just said her vows when she was alerted to an urgent medical problem with one of her patients. She made her excuses to her new husband and guests and excused herself from the wedding party to rush to the patient's bedside. At least 235 people are dead after suspected militants set off a bomb and opened fire at a mosque in northern Sinai province, health ministry spokesperson says. Technology has been taken to another level in the United Kingdom as coffee powered buses are to be used as means of transportation in London. For the first time starting today, waste coffee grounds will be used to help power some of London’s buses. That much was revealed after technology firm bio-bean says it has produced enough coffee oil to power one bus for a year using a biofuel created by blending oil extracted from coffee waste mixed with diesel. “It’s a great example of what can be done when we start to re-imagine waste as an untapped resource,” bio-bean founder Arthur Kay said. The company believes it will take up to 2.55 million cups of coffee to create enough biofuel to run a London bus for a year once the oil has been blended with diesel. A semi-truck in Utah carrying cattle crashed Wednesday on an Interstate 84 overpass in Riverdale, spilling cattle onto the Interstate 15 below, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. Utah Highway Patrol officials said that the driver had been speeding above the 45 mph speed limit. The truck was reportedly teetering over the guardrail as the cows spilled onto the highway below. An unspecified number of cows were killed in the fall, while others wandered to nearby ditches, KSL reported. No humans were injured. A Pentecostal pastor reportedly died during an alleged sex romp with a 19-year-old-girl in a hotel room in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta. 29-year-old man, Peeya Payae is under arrest at Vachira Hospital on Tuesday, after he allegedly killed his girlfriend by stabbing her in the head and then stabbed her brother before jumping off Khao Rang Viewpoint, Phuket Town, Thailand, in an attempted suicide. Police found 30-year-old Anusara Musoh with severe wounds on the back of her head inside the room where she lived with her boyfriend, Payae. Police in Thailand have charged a 22-year-old woman in Udon Thani area of Thailand with murder after she admitted stabbing her 62-year-old husband to death. It was gathered that argument had ensued between Nittaya Saengdeuan and her husband, Amnuay Wensila after she found a condom in his trouser pocket and thought he was having an affair. Saengdeuan stabbed Wensila multiple times until he was dead. She then stuffed his still warm corpse into a septic tank behind their garage. Nittaya initially denied any involvement. But under intense interrogation she broke down and admitted what she had done and was then taken on a reenactment of her crime. The Kaduna state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) says the scripts recently released by Kaduna State governor, were those of messengers and carpenters that the governor forcefully converted to teachers on his assumption of office. In an interview with newsmen in Zaria today, the NUT Zaria chapter chairman, Yahaya Abbas, said this was discovered following investigations by members of the union. According to him 'We were disturbed when we saw those scripts. This was why we investigated. You may recall that el-Rufa’i has directed the conversion of all redundant staff in the local education authorities to teachers.
